N NORTH STAFFS 14–25

FOR YOUNG PEOPLE / 14–25

You don’t need
all the answers.
Start with curiosity.

Something you enjoy. A problem you want to solve.
A future you want to explore.

North Staffs 14–25 proposes more connected ways to discover what interests you, develop your strengths and find your next step.

A proposal in development. The examples below are illustrative; these are not live opportunity listings.

THERE IS MORE THAN ONE WAY FORWARD

What would you
like to explore?

01

Make something that matters.

Design, build, craft or create. A practical challenge could help you discover how ideas become something useful.

An example: investigate a community need and develop a prototype.

02

Find out how things work.

Ask questions, investigate evidence and test an idea. Work with educators and external contributors to deepen your understanding.

An example: explore a local environmental question and explain your findings.

03

Experience a different world.

Explore a workplace, a creative practice or a community project. Meet people whose experience can help you consider possibilities.

An example: a supported workplace experience with a clear learning purpose.

WHO AM I? / YOUR JOURNEY

Your experiences
tell a growing story.

What did you try?
What did you learn?
What might you do next?

The proposed “Who Am I?” portfolio would help you gather work, feedback, qualifications and reflection. It would connect experiences across your learning and help you explain what you know and can do.

Different starting points. Room to change.

You might be choosing a route at 14, moving on at 18 or returning to learning at 24. Support should reflect your circumstances, including additional needs and barriers to participation.

Academic study, technical learning, apprenticeships, employment and enterprise can all form part of a journey. Changing direction should allow you to build on what came before.
